One rumoured change that I think everyone will agree with is Cg Yoda in Ep I. I think its been mentioned in one of the making of ep3 book.

I'm not to fond of CGI Yoda. Looks too shiny in some scenes.

I'm kind of partial to the new scene with Ian McDermiad as the emperor in Empire. And I have to admit I don't really have a problem with them inserting Christensen at the end of Jedi.

The one UNFORGIVEABLE sin in my book is Han/Greedo.

I feel the same regarding the Emperor scene. I think that's ok being there.

I do have a problem with Hayden at the end of ROTJ though. It made it even worse that he didn't even know they were filming him when they inserted him in there. It's a weak attempt to tie in both trilogies at the end of the movie.

If I were Hayden, I would nail LFL to the wall on this and demand residuals. If they refuse I'd sue for breach of contract or using my likeness without my knowledge. Anything.

I've grown to accept the changes to the original films, but in certain way...

The ORIGINAL versions of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi, as it's own trilogy

and

The Special Edition versions of the above films along with episodes I, II, and III as its own "saga."

I think keeping them separate like this allows me to sleep at night.

The only SE changes I can appreciate are the X-wings in ANH and the windows on Cloud City, but not enough watch watch the films around them.

MeBeJedi: Sadly, I believe the prequels are beyond repair.
JediRandy: They’re certainly beyond any repair you’re capable of making.

MeBeJedi: You aren’t one of us.
Go-Mer-Tonic: I can’t say I find that very disappointing.

JediRandy: I won’t suck as much as a fan edit.

Wow, so simple yet I haven't thought of it that way before! Thanks for clarifying my own opinions on the SW "saga", RowMan! (FYI, I'm not trying to be a smart-ass, I'm serious! Well put!) I'm realizing this more and more because every time I've tried to read EU material (I'm reading Dark Empire right now), I end up being disappointed because it just doesn't hold a candle to the original films.
