I didn’t know what to search for, if there was a master topic. But here’s a thread anyway. This news story was notable to get posted on the front page of IMDB so perhaps it is more credible than others.

I keep telling you to ask in the New Thread Thread first and you keep ignoring me.
I saw that thread but the news article don’t say anything about a 4k Restoration. If you want that to be a general Star Wars re-release thread I suggest changing the title.
I haven’t been using off topic so I didn’t know the thread was there. I don’t always visit off topic in every forum I go to. I don’t see why they can’t make a sticky in star wars section that at least links to it.
Edit: This is like the time you suggested I read 100 pages to learn how people reacted to Star Wars Episode VII. Who gots the time? The new thread thread is 20 pages long. If the forum had a search feature I could at least search for a topic that way.
I’m sure sites like this release this story annually

Search feature is completely unnecessary when you have Google. In case you do not know how to search within particular website with Google:

No one can change the title. That’s the thread everyone is using.

I think you’ve misunderstood the purpose of The New Thread Thread. Before you start a new thread, you ask if it’s a good idea in The New Thread Thread first. One of the reasons it wouldn’t be a good idea to make a new thread is if there’s already a thread (or more) that you could post in instead of making a duplicate thread. For instance:
Is there a thread over in General Star Wars Discussion about the possibility of rebooting/remaking the prequels?
Oh boy is there ever.

LOL!
Thanks. I’m glad I asked first. Those 6 threads don’t need to become 7.
Ok, no. I thought I was supposed to read and find out what threads have been suggested so far.
If the forum had a search feature I could at least search for a topic that way.
