Oh, God.

You don’t think…

I feel like this guy pulls stuff out his ass sometimes, merely to shut people up… and I really hope he’s wrong.

He pretty much condensed this entire thread into a couple paragraphs.

I want the Ewok Adventure and Battle for Endor on blu-ray. For what they are (1980’s TV Movies) they are pretty good and would be something kids today would like.

It seems like people are really embracing the new characters. In fact, the big question people ask me now about Star Wars is, “Are Finn and Poe gay lovers?” And really how the f*ck would I know? My second husband left me for a man, so my gaydar isn’t exactly what you’d call Death Star level quality. ----Carrie Fisher

I bet those would look fine on V-CD.

They were released in Europe theatrically.

I doubt Hidalgo knows what he’s talking about.

I wish they’d say or not say, one way or the other.

It’s a bummer that he has to deal with so many weirdos and jerks on twitter, but I don’t get this smug indifference about the original version. It’s not a good look for people who (either as fans, or working at LFL, or blogging about their particular Star Wars-related fetishes) are heavily invested in all the other goofy details of that world.

That’s typical of his segment of the fandom. People who love the “saga” (if you can call it that) tend to be the most rude regarding the OOT.

EDIT: Just to be clear I still don’t believe that he knows what he’s talking about.

After all this, maybe it’s not the OOT - it’s the SET, but properly remastered in 4k. If that’s the case, I’ll still be just as happy. I cannot stand to look at the Blu-rays anymore. Thanks Harmy… 😉
