Well i’m done.

If a mod sees this, please remove my account and my posts. I thought i would have some good time, discussing SW and meeting new people but i was wrong.

There is no room for personal opinions in here, and if you have one, you are going to have some childish people coming at you.

Take care.

If you come back you should consider pointing out specific posts where this has actually happened.

No one said you aren’t welcome to your opinion. No one said your list was stupid (I mean I don’t get your list but you’re welcome to it, it’s your opinion). No one said only the OT movies count (I like TFA and RO both quite a bit).

All I said if you remove the Ewoks then the movie doesn’t work, and that I don’t understand why you have the PT so high and the TFA so low…and you did repsond, kind of, but also threw that in with a bunch of EVERYONE’S BEING MEAN TO ME!!! nonsense that you seem to have anticipated before it actually happened. Seems to me you were expecting a fight, it didn’t happen, so you just proceeded to pick the fight anyway despite no one taking you up on it.

What the heck else can I say but “k” when you introduce yourself to the community this way?

What did we do this time?

Failed to give him the fight he came here looking for, as far as I can tell. But honestly I have no idea.

If this isn’t the most childish thing I have ever seen in my life…

^ you should try having an actual child… it makes sense that the behavior is named after them.

Apparently this crazy question pushed them over the edge?

Beyond I’d like to know what you loved about ROTS and AOTC while loathing TFA to the point that it’s the worst Star Wars created.

I was curious to what the response would be.

Rankings though; it goes SW, ESB, ROTJ
I know that Empire is deeper and more dramatic, but I just have a thing for Tatooine and the Trench Run. Plus Peter Cushing and Alec Guinness.

Han and Leia were great in TFA.

Where is that Donald Trump “Wrong!” meme at…

What was wrong with their portrayal? They’re the same people we know them from ROTJ with the exception of sharing a loss that has led them to splitting up.

I wish Leia would have became a Jedi though. They fucked up not doing that in my opinion.

My revised list:

  1. Star Wars
  2. The Empire Strikes Back
  3. The Force Awakens
  4. Return of the Jedi
  5. Rogue One
  6. The Star Wars Holiday Special

My thought process was led by a fairly simple question: “Which would I want to watch again right now?”. For me I loved Rogue One and thought it was done very well, but it’s not the kind of movie I would watch over and over.

I’m glad they didn’t do that, personally.

Leia didn’t really have a role in the movie. She was just “there”. She doesn’t even acknowledge Chewie after Han dies. Instead she’s consoling someone she barely knows because welp, the filmmakers needed to foist some kind of female character connection upon the audience that they weren’t skilled enough to establish in a dramatic way throughout the rest of the movie.

Han was better because he had a legitimate role in the movie, but the role was still more in line with Kingdom of the Crystal Skull bullshit than Star Wars. At no point in the movie did I ever feel like Han Solo was a serious character. He feels like he’s an action figure in a comic book universe.

And I can’t even get started on this whole thing with their supposed son. There is nothing emotional or dramatic about any of it because these people never share a history together on screen. Characters don’t earn those emotions through a few lines of expository dialogue. He’s Han and Leia’s son…because the writers told us. Oh look, he killed Han. How sad! Just no, no, no. That’s not how it works.

It is my subjective opinion that Han and Leia were great in TFA.

That’s fine, and you are entitled to that.

But it is also my subjective opinion that your opinion is wrong.

People keep saying opinions can’t be wrong so…I guess you mean you disagree with my opinion.

I tried to fix that for you but AOTC is still first and SW still last. I guess I’ll just say “I improved that a little for you.” Although it moved up TPM too high…so I guess there’s no fixing it.

Leia didn’t really have a role in the movie. She was just “there”.

She sent Poe to Lor San Tekka and in general her resolve is why The Resistance had any chance to find Luke. She also gave Han hope that their son still had light in him.

She doesn’t even acknowledge Chewie after Han dies. Instead she’s consoling someone she barely knows because welp, the filmmakers needed to foist some kind of female character connection upon the audience that they weren’t skilled enough to establish in a dramatic way throughout the rest of the movie.

They fucked up with the Chewie thing…yes they did. Even JJ admits he was wrong for that. Sucks no one who was around him during filming that told him that having Leia hug Rey is a terrible idea.

Han was better because he had a legitimate role in the movie, but the role was still more in line with Kingdom of the Crystal Skull bullshit than Star Wars. At no point in the movie did I ever feel like Han Solo was a serious character. He feels like he’s an action figure in a comic book universe.

I really don’t know what to say to this one…sorry you feel that way.

And I can’t even get started on this whole thing with their supposed son. There is nothing emotional or dramatic about any of it because these people never share a history together on screen. I care about Han, Leia and Luke so that’s why I cared. I care about Ben and Luke in SW so that’s why I was emotionally invested in Ben confronting Darth Vader.

Why?

I personally think they should have opted for both. Have Luke train her in the first decade or so post the Battle of Endor then after (insert reason here) she decides to fully invest in Politics/Military.

Leia was a not-Jedi for all three original movies. I don’t think of her as a Jedi, she didn’t think of herself as a Jedi, and it would have been weird for her to suddenly be a Jedi in the fourth movie.

Star Wars can be first, if we use A New Hope.

The 30 year time gaps helps all of these issues both with our perception and Leia’s potential “conflict” regarding embracing being a Jedi.
