Will have to check it out. Plus, on the 22nd is Bad Santa and Badder Santa (the unrated version). I'm all over this.

Neat-o.

"Excuse me while I whip this out..."
"Aaahhh!!"

"No, no. Mongo straight!"

"Meeting is adjourned. Oh sorry I didnt want to go over your head, you say it sir."
"What?"
"Meeting is adjourned."
"It is?"
"No, you say it."
"What?"
"Meeting is adjourned."
"It is?"
"Here, play with this."

I haven't had the time to pick up anything in a long while, but I've looking forward to the new Blazing Saddles for months. Should be out on June 29th with an ultra-expensive-wish-I-could-afford-it-but-can't-deluxe-edition . I'll just settle for the regular DVD.

While they may not be the funniest movies ever, just caught two of my all-time favourites: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (predictable plot, but Michael Caine and Steve Martin are great together) and Clue (hysterical all-star cast).
The original Star Wars trilogy: Our cultural history deserves to be preserved and should be available to the public like all great works of art!

Nice DVD edition. Expensive, but... nice.

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is a great movie. I belive it was directed by Frank Oz, right? A surprisingly intelligent comedy.
Clue is great too, being set in only one set (the house), and with the "alternate endings" thing...

Thanks, but I wish it was called the deluxe-but-cheap-or-at-least-reasonbly-priced-so-fans-could-afford-it-version.

Good taste, ricarleite. Yep DRS was directed by Yoda himself and of his best comedies. My favourite Oz flicks are the Dark Crystal and Muppets Take Manhattan though.

That's not the version you want; this is. The deluxe version you were looking at has been out for some time, and contains the old, lacklustre transfer.

Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Ah, that's good to know. Thanks!

It just read special edition DVD in the description so I assumed it was the new one. At least the new release is pretty reasonable, $16.99 CAN.

I don't why I haven't...I mean, Mel Brooks is a master. Maybe if they would put his other stuff on TV and quit repeating Men In Tights, I would've seen it by now (I've probably seen Men In Tights or parts of it, thanks to Comedy Central and ABC Family, at least twenty times, but I guess I'll just have to keep it in mind when I go to the video store when I'm home for the Fourth of July.

And the sad part is, I still laugh at the same lines over and over again. But there are also parts that are so bland that they make me sick.

Gotta go pick up Blazing Saddles this week, and giggle with anticipation. Yes, it's that good.

This disc is a great package. WS film in 5.1, scene specific commentary by Brooks, docs on the film and the late, great Madeleine Kahn, deleted scenes (which were included in the TV print; there's an alternate take of the farting scene where the noises are replaced by animal noises) and... the pilot of the TV series Black Bart, starring Louis Gossett as Bart. Good stuff.

Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

A Blazing Saddles series would've been great.

Maybe. The pilot is fun, but it points out certain weaknesses in the premise that would've prevented it from working as well as it did in movie form.

Well, there are a few ways I could rate funniest. Comedy I've seen the most (not on a television showing) : Dumb & Dumber. Movie I've laughed hardest at: Tommy Boy (I literally fell out of my seat laughing the first time I watched)

I'm sure that I think another movie is funnier, but nothing else comes to mind right now. & I'm dissapointed to say I haven't seen Blazing Saddles.
I just hate stupid people.

GO JETS!!!!
