New lawsuit in Virginia to stop the travel ban.
Amazing tweet from the so-called President that will probably fly under the radar because it’s not terribly sexy.
LAWFARE: “Remarkably, in the entire opinion, the panel did not bother even to cite this (the) statute.” A disgraceful decision!
I had to go searching for this comment but found it partway through this article.

Here’s the full paragraph.
Remarkably, in the entire opinion, the panel did not bother even to cite this statute, which forms the principal statutory basis for the executive order (see Sections 3©, 5©, and 5(d) of the order). That’s a pretty big omission over 29 pages, including several pages devoted to determining the government’s likelihood of success on the merits of the case.
First off, I’d love to know if the completely unnecessary “(the)” was in the original published article and then edited out, or if Trump added it himself. Unimportant but pretty funny if Trump added it. But more importantly, Trump didn’t bother to quote any of the rest of the article, such as
The Ninth Circuit is correct to leave the TRO in place, in my view, for the simple reason that there is no cause to plunge the country into turmoil again while the courts address the merits of these matters over the next few weeks.
Or
But it’s worth emphasizing that the grounds on which this order was fought are not the grounds on which the merits fight will happen. Eventually, the court has to confront the clash between a broad delegation of power to the President—a delegation which gives him a lot of authority to do a lot of not-nice stuff to refugees and visa holders—in a context in which judges normally defer to the president, and the incompetent malevolence with which this order was promulgated.
“Incompetent malevolence” seems like it sums up the administration perfectly so far.
Politico stole my story.

Thank god we have a so-called president who lashes out immediately instead of being rational. Exactly what we need.
Funny you say this because you did the same thing before finding out about the morning edition.
I’m not the so-called president.
You don’t mean that.
I COMMA ON THE OTHER HAD COMMA NEVER LASH OUT
EMOTION IS A HUMAN WEAKNESS
So are typos…
I’m not the so-called president.
Pot calling the kettle black is just that and one need not be the president for it to apply to them.
😉
So are typos…
I HAD AN OTHER ITS NOT COMPLICATED
This one is relevant too.
An average American Citizen who lashes out immediately instead of being rational, is nowhere near the problem for the nation as a President who lashes out immediately instead of being rational. We do and should hold the President to a higher standard.

yeah. and another difference, i don’t think there was a national vote that had Frink on the ballot.
There wasn’t, and look where it got us.
Frink also doesn’t write something online and 24.5 million people see it instantly.*

Yet.
You know what? I’ve changed my mind. Anything bad about the President is ok as long it is also true of Frink as well.
Lol.

My opinion is based on moral principal, not who holds a higher office, LOL. How you carry yourself is important regardless of how anyone else carries themselves. If you’re happy with double standards, that’s fine, but then say you’re okay with it.

It’s not just you. A new study shows that a third of Americans say that their productivity has gone down since the election of Donald Trump. Conducted by productivity software company BetterWorks—from an admittedly small sample size of 500 “nationally representative, full-time American workers”—the study shows that the current heightened political climate is taking a hammer to people’s workday morale.
The study found that 89 percent of participants read at least one politically motivated social media post while at work, while almost half have seen a political discussion escalate into a full-blown argument in the workplace. (Which is bad, even if the thought of Debbie from HR and Brad from accounting brawling in the break room over the Secretary Of Education is kind of a funny mental image.)
More devastating, though, is the effect that politics is taking on workers’ precious “zoning out and watching cat videos” time. Instead of using their illicit internet time to relax, blow off steam, and recharge, political content is just getting people even more worked up and unproductive, removing a vital outlet for workers’ mental health.

Consider this:
both Frink and the President are being judged by the same principle: they both could be considered knuckle heads if they lash out immediately with out being rational.
Now, we see they are both being judged by the same moral principle. they are both knuckle heads (in this thought experiment)
The part you seem to discredit however, is that a position of power (in this case being president of the “USA, USA, USA!!”), the fact that someone meets or doesn’t meet a moral standard, is amplified. in simple words, it matters more, because it affects more.
knuckle head on OT, annoying, but doesn’t get my laws or taxes changed.

I can’t believe this is even a discussion.

Hey I’m just trying to prove that I am having a discussion and not just ignoring crazy comments.
