Can you give a common example of something you consider to be “far left” and “a threat to American freedoms”? I ask because I consider myself pretty far to the left, and am not sure who I am threatening.

have you ever protested in a manner that delayed an ambulance? I think that is the kind of extremist he is talking about.

How is protesting in a manner that delayed an ambulance specifically “far left”? Couldn’t a “far right” protester delay an ambulance? I was hoping for some examples that were specifically “far left”.

I actually do think I’m pretty far to the left, by today’s standards. For example, people today seem to think that Obamacare is way left, but to me it seems quite centrist because it still retains a for-profit system at its base. Single payer would be much further to the left, and that’s what I believe would be better. I suppose that would threaten people’s freedom to not have health insurance?

I’m actually not trying to be sarcastic. It’s an honest question. I’d like to know how my beliefs are threatening people’s freedoms.

Okay, let me rephrase the question. Have you ever, while protesting some leftish cause, protested in a manner that delayed an ambulance?

Still not a good example. Protesting badly is not a left-wing policy. The leftist policy being advocated isn’t what blocked the ambulance.

Furthermore, protesting badly isn’t even necessarily “far left” or “far right”. Someone could protest badly AGAINST a far left or far right policy.

Exactly, this is the type of stuff I’m talking about, as well as the not uncommon desire amongst left-wingers extremists who oppose freedom of speech, which others mentioned earlier.

I don’t think MFM is talking about the libertarian left, but rather the authoritarian left. The type of people who advocate for hate speech laws, for example.

Ok, that’s a better example. So, I know there was a hate-speech proposal in Quebec last year that drew some fire. Do you know if there were any such proposals here in the U.S. recently? I don’t remember that being one of the topics in any of the debates (maybe I’m not remembering).

It hasn’t manifested in the form of hate-speech legislation yet because it is just so blatantly unconstitutional, but don’t think that it isn’t something that these extreme leftists don’t want.

I agree with the criticism, but I wouldn’t call it fascism. That’s a word that is getting thrown around far too much.
