People genuinely playing off of each other in real time will almost always make me laugh more than an objectively well-crafted joke. I love Rick and Morty for this same reason.
I’d be interested how R&M works when both of them are voiced by the same guy. I’m not making fun, I’m genuinely interested in the process behind it.
Sorry for the extremely late answer. I’ve done a little bit of improv, and I never knew what I was going to say, things just came out of my mouth as if it’s completely separate from my brain. Sometimes I’d be genuinely surprised at what I had just said, and so I was able to have a genuine reaction to what I was saying the same way someone else might react. I assume it’s a similar situation for Roiland.
