Tarantino-esque? Not at all! It's the opposite of what Tarantino does, it's a light hearted fun movie. It's not really a kung fu film per se, and the special effects are somewhat cheap substitutes for real Kung Fu (as I've discussed in the other thread), but it's an OK film. Not as good as Stephen Chow's previous film, Shaolin Soccer, but...
I should clarify: What I meant by Tarantino-esque was the visual style, especially in the beginning during the dance routine. Also, did you all see Kill Bill? Much of the fighting, especially with the axes was reminiscient of it; at least for me.
