Amidst the chaos brought on by President Donald Trump’s maybe illegal executive decision to block immigration from several Muslim-majority countries, first daughter Ivanka Trump wants the internet to check out her dress.

On Friday, Trump signed an executive order that instituted a 90-day travel ban for citizens from seven predominantly Muslim nations, a 120-day suspension on U.S. entry for all refugees, and more specifically, an indefinite ban on Syrian refugees hoping to escape civil war.

In the wake of this decision, protesters have gathered at airports around the country to voice anger over Trump’s decision and to show support for travelers currently detained due to the sudden change in policy.

Meanwhile, Ivanka thought Saturday night might be a good time to share a photo of herself and husband/presidential advisor Jared Kushner dressed for a black tie event.

@IvankaTrump Your dress is nice. Meanwhile:

Can’t wait for the “Don’t Pay Your Federal Income Tax” protests to heat up in just a few months. It’s going to be one hell of a show.

Especially since Trumpy finally decided he isn’t going to show anyone his tax returns ever.

Where were you in '77?

Nice of Trump to continually shit on the military (and America) like this.

Yesterday I thought about those old images of George W. Bush that were floating around after Obama got elected that said, “Miss me yet?”

Yeah, I actually kinda do now.

How President Trump’s Immigration Ban Affected This Photographer
Eman Mohammed
10:29 AM Mountain
Eman Mohammed, a respected Palestinian photojournalist and TED Talk speaker, has been forced to cancel plans to jury the World Press Photo photojournalism contest in Amsterdam, after President Donald Trump signed an executive order that places restrictions on travel for citizens of seven Middle Eastern countries.
Even though Mohammed is a legal permanent resident of the U.S. and she does not come from one of the seven countries listed in the order, she has been advised by her lawyers that, as a Palestinian, “the confusion surrounding the U.S. government’s executive order means she risks being unable to return to her family if she comes to Amsterdam,” reads a statement from World Press Photo. “We joined with her lawyer and advised her not to travel,” the statement continues. "We are angered and saddened that bigotry has prevented this talented member of the photojournalism community from joining us this week."
Mohammed speaks to TIME LightBox.

There is no need to be a fly on the wall in Trump’s White House anymore with all the facts flying in this thread. Next thing you know, we’ll have Warbler for President with Hillary Clinton as his Vice, and some of you folks filling cabinet spots due to your unique and superior qualifications.

That would be a doomsday worth counting towards.

LOL

I assume the more unpopular Trump becomes, the more we’ll see Republicans jumping ship.

I don’t agree. I think more republicans will just double down on Trump’s rhetoric, in spite of waning public opinion. Moderate republicans who oppose Trump will just end up losing their primaries to challengers in 2018.

If Trump continues to be historically unpopular, Republicans will abandon him.

I agree. These guys still want to win their rererererererere-elections back home, and if Trump is going to keep generating thousands and thousands of protestors per day in the White House with his wildly unpopular executive orders and decisions, they will distance themselves from him. It’s already starting.

Keep Circulating the Tapes.

I feel like it’s becoming more likely that Trump will have a Republican challenger in 2020. I mean, I think the moment he was elected with the majority of the country hating him this was a possibility, but things have only gotten worse. Of course a lot could change between now and then, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw Sasse or Graham run against him.

What numbers are you basing “the majority of the country hating him” on? I haven’t seen any specific polls or graphs or pies that lay this out. Any links?

Is that why only TEN republicans spoke out against the Muslim ban? Most just stood by silent or even outright supported it. They are not distancing themselves from Trump at all.

That bit was just some obvious hyperbole. Fact is Trump has never once had a majority approval. Literally check any poll.
