Oh. Wow, my mind is just a piece of shit this morning.

I read the thread title literally one thousand times and for some reason it always said “Special Editions” in my head. I even read and considered the first post and didn’t make the connection. I blame lack of sleep and not enough coffee.

Jesus.

So uh yeah, I remember watching the Lord of the Rings special features on the extended editions (so I was even wrong about Star Wars being the only special edition I watched, too, fucking hell) and really enjoying the tons of info there, especially about the props and effects.

I haven’t owned any box sets of the Star Wars films since the 1997 SE VHS set (not even the widescreen version!), but I would always watch the short little intro “special features” in front of each video.

That’s all I can think of.
