Finally got around to seeing Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. I went into it expecting something awful. I honestly came away having fairly enjoyed it. Sure, Lex Luthor was quite different from other iterations, the religious imagery a bit overused, Doomsday was kind of a stretch in his creation, and yes, the plot was even a bit muddled and hard to follow at times, but I still liked it. Only watched the theatrical edit. The Ultimate is rated ‘R’ and I seldom watch those. But I did read about the deleted scenes and wish they were included to better streamline the plot. Nevertheless, as it stands, I didn’t think it was nearly as bad as people, particularly professional critics, made it out to be. I expected crap, and instead got a decent flick. In my subjective eyes, it’s B.
