Cowboy Bebop: The Movie (2001) – ★★★1/2
I think it was lacking somewhat in comparison to the series that preceded it. The amazing music as present in the series was used much more sparsely here, most of the music present being pop/rock songs without the hyper-active jazz feel.
The plot seemed like it was trying too hard to be bigger and grander for a feature film presentation, but it felt very weird in the context of the series, though I’m glad it was all explained properly by the end of it.
The animation and cinematography was just as, if not more fantastic than in the series.
A great watch, over all.
You gave an anime a much higher rating than Toy Story 2.
