I wasnât worried about heckling ot taunting, I just didnât like it after posting it. It was a stupid post regardless of the potential eventual reaction to it.
To make a slightly less stupid post about the same point, letâs just say I often feel like I deserve a Mike PenceÂŽ Approved Shock Attackâ˘.

You donât âdeserveâ anything but the right to be yourself (and for others to respect that).
Thereâs nothing wrong with whatever feelings youâre having anyone who says otherwise should just go fuck themselves.
The thing is, I donât want to be myself, or not the self I am right now. I want to feel normal and not like a dirty infidel.
No, sorry coffee. Youâre brain is telling you donât want to be yourself because other people have convinced you that it is wrong. What youâre feeling is completely natural, the only thing unnatural is the desire to wish away those feelings.
I have a hard time trying to reconcile my Christianity with my homosexual tendencies, and Iâd be a much happier person if I could get rid of the latter. But I canât AFAIK, no matter how much Iâve prayed about it in the last few years, so alasâŚ
I know a number of people who have been able to reconcile their religion with their homosexuality. Itâs not impossible, you can do it. If people tell you it canât be done, donât listen to them. I know plenty of Christian people who are very accepting of homosexuality. Itâs not impossible. If people make you feel bad for wanting whatâs deep down, either stop associating with them or donât listen to them. They donât want whatâs best for you, they just want whatâs best for their view of the world.
Iâm atheist, but I was raised Catholic and I understand how the faith operates.
It is important to remember that the bible was written by men, not by god, and that it was interpreted by men, not by god. Just because people say you have to believe a certain way doesnât mean your god wants you to. God loves everyone, no? You say youâve prayed for years with no response. Well maybe you did get a response? Maybe this is his way of showing you that you are meant to be this way.
In the end, maybe youâre not gay, youâre just bi. Or maybe youâre not into guys at all? The thing is, only YOU can be the one to find that out for yourself. You canât let others tell you how youâre supposed to feel (in this matter and in others). Thatâs up to you.
