About half of respondents thought it was beautiful, while the other half thought it was gaudy. I was in the latter group (though I didn't express my sentiments publicly).
I've always had a more utilitarian design sense though. I prefer a home theater to be more about the film than the room. Dark walls and furniture, no framed posters on the walls (these reflect light, taking focus away from the film and washing out the image), etc. That sky blue ceiling he has is just about the worst thing you can do in a home theater from an image quality standpoint.
To each his own.
I envy his financial strength and his means to build such a viewing environment. I hope to achieve the same someday.
