I never served, but I would hope anyone who has would agree that Trump’s speech at the CIA was despicable.

JEDIT:

The outgoing head of the CIA thinks along those lines (taken from the above article) - “On Saturday night, however, the recently retired CIA director John Brennan communicated through a former aide that he was “deeply saddened and angered at Trump’s despicable display of self-aggrandisement” in front of the memorial wall.”

Trump’s speech (and later tweet) doesn’t sit well at all, having served or not, it is pretty disconcerting, and disrespectful, to put it mildly.

Sadly, I think you may have more of this to come…

.

On a separate note, as a Brit with little knowledge of US politics, how is the Opposition shaping up to take on Trump (and like all good Opposition should) during his administration for the next term (and maybe more)?

Are there any young and bright sparks coming to the fore, or a possibility of Sanders running again? (Is Sanders ok with with Democratic Party after it’s actions in favouring Clinton in ‘The Primaries’ (apologies if I miss-use the terminology or got my facts wrong).

How are Republican warming to Trump? Are they happy with his actions so far, and are they confident for the next election?

(and apologies also if this has already been discussed in here - or everyone is bored with it 😃)
