I don’t know if I think so much about others reactions so much during, but to me it is very much more a shared experience when you go with others. Going by yourself, in contrast, feels a lot more personal and intimate.

The reason I went alone is because I was super exciting, having found a second run theater, and as far as I could tell the best thing they were playing was Pete’s Dragon. None of my friends in town seemed to have any interest, but I had heard it was good so I went. And a very good film to see alone too, because it really is quite personal (and quite good!).
