I like it! I just hope they dont kill off Luke.
What’s the internal temperature of a TaunTaun? Luke warm.
Yeah, title is strange
Why.
I like it!
Simple and effective.
The Last Jedi is the official title. Underwhelming, but welcome.
I would like this better if it were an alternate title of ROTJ.
EDIT:
If the film has a slogan it should be “The new Jedi will rise”
Yeah, title is strange

Another three-worded title is kinda off-putting. Especially one that doesn’t seem all that innovative like The Force Awakens was, but that’s just me.
That being said, it’ll grow on me. It always does.

It doesn’t follow any established formula and that bothers me.
The (action) of the (thing)
The (thing) (does something)
The/A (adjective) (noun)
The last one it sort of follows, but it’s star wars specific this time and also ‘Jedi’ has already been in a movie title. It also sounds cliche. At least it’s not dawn or rise of something. And look at that red star wars logo, that means it’s going to be Dark™, didn’t you know Dark™ equals good? Remember Empire? Empire’s the best star wars film and it sure is Dark™!!
I’m sorry, I’m just all sorts of bothered by this. I’m probably wrong and it’s just a title and it’s all going to be good, but this already seems more on the nose than TFA and I loved that film. Sorry bout all this
reylo?
Darn you, Tobar! I was just about to post that! 😛
Where were you in '77?
I like it. Short and sweet.
Also it has (perhaps) more story implications than The Force Awakens which was a little too ambiguous.
I mean The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi basically tell you what’s going to happen.
😉
“It’s too ‘x’.”
“It’s not enough ‘x’.”
Just as expected. Luckily, the title is the absolutely least important thing about a movie.

Star Wars titles past have usually been on-the-nose, as you say:
The Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
Attack of the Clones
Revenge of the Sith
A New Hope and The Phantom Menace are more ambiguous I guess.

It follows exactly the last one. Also the first one should be ‘‘The (noun) of the (thing)’’, not ‘‘The (verb) of the (thing)’’. This is just more of the usual ‘‘not enough like the previous films’’ bullshit, followed by more ‘‘not different enough from the previous films’’ complaints. Make up your mind wether you want one or the other.

The Last Jedi… hmmm… this confirms that the movie will focus heavily on Luke and Rey (which we already heard / read about).
Now I can also bet that we’ll see Luke swinging that saber of his… the laser one.
This “The Last Jedi” thing seems like a rehash of Yoda situation in ESB.

Loving the self-parody 😉

I wouldn’t count on a title to confirm anything.
Attack of the Clones focused heavily on neither an Attack nor the Clones. If it had been called “Attack of the Uncomfortable and Creepy Romance” it would have been more predictive.

LOL! 😄
Yoda tells Luke just before he dies that “last of the Jedi will you be”. Lying SOB!!!

You have information showing otherwise?
Something else to keep in mind, Jedi is both singular and plural.
I’m curious to see how the title will be translated in other languages, that should indicate which form is intended.

Wow, cool, it feels so epic, so badasss!! How cool!
Seriously, it’d make for a great title if it wasn’t that only two movies before the Jedi were supposed to be returning. Still spitting in the face of where the OT ended.
I love the title. Can’t wait!
.
The last Jedi is the best Star Wars since The Empire strikes back. Period !
