Slightly off topic but I just stumbled on this 1997 interview with Lucas after the first SEs came out. Funny how he says there’s more he’d like to make but there’s ‘no plans’ to change them again. Interesting how he also brings up that enhanced versions of the Indiana Jones films were gonna be done which fortunately we never got.
They started to tinker with Raiders, replacing cliffs with CG work and such. Those things have been rolled back, probably because Spielberg realized what an enormous mistake ET SE was. The glass reflection on the one snake shot is still removed, but nothing too atrocious.
