It has been many years since Peter Cushing passed away. Carrie Fisher’s just hit us and it hit us hard. And rightfully so. She was such a treasure to have in life. It would be too soon to recreate her. Even if the CGI was perfected, every fan would instantly be taken aback because of how recent her death would still be.
