my point is no one that has anything to do “reality” tv show, should be anywhere near the Oval Office. It is not a place for clowns.
LOL!

He was a reality star but his claim to fame comes from his business empire much more than his tenure on Celebrity Apprentice. It’d be like referring to Robin Williams as the star of Patch Adams. It isn’t wrong, but it is leaving out what he’s actually known for and implies that that is all that he was.

He’s right. The hysterics prompted a lot of people to vote for Trump to spite the faux outrage on the left. Ironically it created a lot of faux outrage on the right too.
I assure you, my outrage at Trump getting elected, and my lack of respect for those that voted for him is not faux.
Perhaps “faux” was the wrong word. How about “hysterical”?
nah.
OK, your reaction to Donald Trump’s victory was hysterical. It absolutely was. You had the same reaction as frevious did.

Bill Clinton was a clown and he made it in, LOL.
Bill Clinton at least had experience in running a state as governor before he became president. Our new president questioned wether or not Obama was even born in the US.
On the other hand, being on a reality show doesn’t automatically mean Trump was unqualified to run for office- it’s the lack of any political experience that should’ve disqualified him.

A lot of people asked the same question, some even asked knowing it didn’t matter. Being that HIS MAMA WAS A U.S. CITIZEN = HE’S A U.S. CITIZEN!!! No matter where he was born!
And as far as the lack of “political experience,” I patently reject that the President must be a career politician.
The fact is, Trump really is no worse than anyone else in Washington.
Not a fact at all. In fact, currently undetermined, but likely incorrect.

Perhaps, but there was nothing faux about the outrage.
Not the outrage about Trump specifically, but the general faux outrage about non-issues like memes and Ghostbusters.
Most voters had zero knowledge of either of those things.

Rehashing the same old Trump and his voters are rapists, sexists, xenophobes, homophobes, sexual predators, Putin lovers, America haters, and women beaters is old, washed out, unproductive, and just plain sad. Apparently some of us have learned nothing from the closing of the other politics thread and they don’t seem intent on doing so either.

Well yes, that’s been proven. However, there’s a difference between not being a career politician and not knowing what the fuck you’re talking about, and hiring a bunch of people who also don’t have a clue what the fuck they’re talking about - see DeVos, Betsy:
her long battle for school choice, controversial as it has been, is the sum total of her experience and understanding of education policy. In questioning by senators, she seemed either unaware or unsupportive of the longstanding policies and functions of the department she is in line to lead, from special education rules to the policing of for-profit universities.
Ms. DeVos admitted that she might have been “confused” when she appeared not to know that the broad statute that has governed special education for more than four decades is federal law.
A billionaire investor, education philanthropist and Michigan Republican activist, Ms. DeVos acknowledged that she has no personal experience with student loans — the federal government is the largest provider — and said she would have to “review” the department’s policies aimed at preventing fraud by for-profit colleges.
She appeared blank on basic education terms. Asked how school performance should be assessed, she did not know the difference between growth, which measures how much students have learned over a given period, and proficiency, which measures how many students reach a targeted score.
Also see Perry, Rick:
https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/18/us/politics/rick-perry-energy-secretary-donald-trump.html
When President-elect Donald J. Trump offered Rick Perry the job of energy secretary five weeks ago, Mr. Perry gladly accepted, believing he was taking on a role as a global ambassador for the American oil and gas industry that he had long championed in his home state.
In the days after, Mr. Perry, the former Texas governor, discovered that he would be no such thing — that in fact, if confirmed by the Senate, he would become the steward of a vast national security complex he knew almost nothing about, caring for the most fearsome weapons on the planet, the United States’ nuclear arsenal.
Experience matters, and these people are making a mockery of it.

How much experience did George Washington have? Ulysses S. Grant? Herbert Hoover? Dwight D. Eisenhower?

You furthered my point. They can all be clowns and, especially in this modern day of 24/7 news and HD quality camera phones, the chances of a President appearing clownish is high no matter who they are.

You really really hate that I am a staunch Conservative who votes Republican, don’t you?

Washington, Grant, and Eisenhower at least had experience in leadership as Generals(Washington also had a experience in politics as a member of the 1st and 2nd Continental Congresses). Hoover did have a little experience see his wiki page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herbert_Hoover
And you missed my point. Trumpy will never be as funny as these guys. If a turkey gets funny with him, the pardon will be rescinded on the spot. 😉

I hate that you automatically vote Republican no matter what. I hate that you voted for Trump when you could have voted third party/independent/write-in. You didn’t have to vote for a scum bag.
