It’s a great label and I’ll probably end up using it, but I’d hoped for something with another McQuarrie concept painting for consistency’s sake (more for consistency with SteveE’s labels for the other two than JMoomer’s original ANH set; I realize the poster sketch was his choice for SW Revisited).

How’s this?

Also, with NJVC’s set, there is a trilogy documentary disc, so I made this label for it:

Hey There,

Heres an update of my custom set. Finally got the positioning right to fit the covers perfectly in the 15mm Criterion Blu-ray boxes and was able to track down some higher resolution art for the back. As for the inside/reverse, I printed them with the Noriyoshi Ohrai collage style prints. All in all, pretty happy with the results. Hope you enjoy.

Empire

ROTJ

Any chance I could get a PM of these? They’re EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for!

Woah!!! Also count me in for a PM request. These are some of my favorites that I’ve seen on this site. ❤️

Whipped this up today out of boredom. I kind of like it. I might print it and use it for njvc’s set.

DUDE, that is gorgeous. Do you plan on making all three? This is me, hoping you get bored again soon! 😋

Yeah I’ll probably do the other two next time I have a few minutes. Haha

This is awesome! (Except it says 1.85:1 instead of 2.39:1. But that’s just me nitpicking.)

That’s because I’m including the black bars, being that they’re baked into the image.

Not gonna lie, I was just staring at this again. I noticed something… why is the apostrophe on Collector’s backward? Is that an easter egg? 😏

I am using the Criterion style cases for my complete njvc set, so I needed to create a fourth cover for the trilogy documentaries disc. Just in case anyone else needs something, here it is:

Hello everyone! I am just about to start the project of creating the boxsets and so damn excited for it. I am going for 2-disc cases for each entry (50GB+25GB). I haven’t decided if to go with the criterion cases or standard blu ray cases. Any suggestions as far as the artwork? tips are getting it all done right the first time? where to buy the cases ?

I’m in the same boat, looking for artwork for 2 disc sets. For Jedi, are you going with the two 50GB disc version?

Also, Casetopia seems to be pretty reasonable price wise and they have both criterion and regular blu ray cases.

I ordered three-disc and single-disc Criterion cases from casetopia. Would order again.

I intend to make disc labels for the 50GB versions. I have all 25GB so those were my priority, but now that my box set is all done I can move on to other versions. I used the Criterion-style covers by JMoomer (but I had to create a fourth cover for my 25GB trilogy documentaries case). I also made a box for them just last night.

Thanks ! Someone else suggested casetopia as well. I ran out 50gb discs by Jedi so I have the trilogy documentaries on a separate 25gb disc. I may just hold off and make a proper 2-50GB disc case for jedi so everything fits nicely in one box set. I was also considered buying a 3 disc case for jedi but I would need to change the dimensions of the cover art.

thanks for the contributions stealthboy. This is exactly what I am looking for. I have an extensive criterion movie collection so a criterion themed boxset would look nicely alongside them lol

What kind of paper do you guys use? I made a few basic sets as xmas gifts for a few friends and i used some 2 sided matte presentation paper. They look pretty good but i feel like I should use something a bit nicer for my set. Any tips would be appreciated.

I used “brochure paper” that I picked up at OfficeMax. It’s a little heavier than copy paper and has a gloss to it. Works great for case inserts and leaflets. Ask at the copy counter and you should be able to buy it by-the-sheet.

As for the disc labels, I purchased some printable BDs and this Canon Pixma printer that was just too good a deal to pass up. Red and white are both around $80 each shipped.

Casetopia is realy an awesome company. Even with shipping to Poland, it was still worth the dough.
