My only question is who asked for a Han Solo spin off movie?
My only question is who asked for a Han Solo spin off movie?
One thing for sure, Hollywood is unfortunately not going to give up on CGI Actors. Let’s hope Hollywood doesn’t CGI Actors just to make some stupid commercials.
Yeah. Let’s hope that never happens.

However, I really hated the CG Tarkin. The scenes with CG Tarkin, threw me out of the movie experience.
Unfortunately, he’s an important character and needed to be in the movie.
It sorta felt like a “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” Meets “Star Wars”, mixing Animation/CG with Live Action. For me, Tarkin was one of the highlights of the film.
In all honesty, the CG of Tarkin is a good effort, but I just wish they didn’t go the CG route.
If there was a way to superimpose old Tarkin footage from Star Wars to match up with the scene.
I know that wouldn’t be perfect either, but they might’ve been able to pull that off a little better.
As long as they kept the scenes short.Anyways, to each their own.
One this is for sure, CGI is way better than having a new actor (in terms of visual appearance). That never works, especially when it comes to well-established characters. I am pretty sure it will not work for Han Solo.
Well, if by “work” you mean he will not look or sound like Harrison Ford, then you are right. That doesn’t mean it won’t be good though. The worst thing they could have done for that film would have been to have the lead performance be a CGI Han Solo with an HF impersonator. I shiver at the thought of it.
I mean some things are difficult to make. Obviously they cannot do the same for the lead character as they did for Tarkin. But new actor is horrible choice for a character that is basically personified by one particular actor (i.e. Ford). In this case I prefer they do not do it at all (the film I mean).
But since they are doing it (the film I mean), you will watch it anyways, so that you can complain about it in detail.
My only question is who asked for a Han Solo spin off movie?
Me, for one.
Why?
Because it might suck, and if it sucks, so what? But if it’s good, I will have seen another good Star Wars movie.
They haven’t made a good Star Wars movie in over 30 years. 0/5 and re-using the same **** over and over again might be a good indication the tank is running on E yo.

Oh hey look who could have seen this rehash post coming?
Are you rustled?
You’re on the record (in more ways than one) as a quantity over quality guy. Are you sure you didn’t like the prequels at all?
Are you rustled?
I’m tired of reading the same baiting post over and over and over again.
There is enough baiting already.

What.
My only question is who asked for a Han Solo spin off movie?
Me, for one.
Why?
The reason I ask is that it’s a less necessary story to tell and is extremely risky. A novel would be fine but transitioning that to the screen is already proving to be difficult if not impossible.
Because it might suck, and if it sucks, so what? But if it’s good, I will have seen another good Star Wars movie.
It doesn’t matter to me as the ST currently has my full attention but if it does disappoint me I will still be wishing they had used their resources on a different film. Even if I like it I would still come out thinking there were far more safe and interesting films they could have made instead of a Han Solo flick.

Unlike your posts which are almost always directed personally at other members, I was simply replying to the discussion with my point of view. Maybe your time and energy would be better spent doing something else besides policing every thread on OT.com in an attempt to rebut every anti-Disney/anti-LFL post. At the very least, you would be less agitated.

You just said in your last post, the more the better. If they suck, who cares, and if they are good, well then that’s a bonus. You fully endorsed the “throw as much **** at the wall” and hope something sticks approach.
I wonder of there will be a death star in it
Everyone knows there was no Death Star in Empire.
They are saving Starkiller 2 for Episode IX.
It’s been fun reading some of these posts. We are so used to prequel vs. anti-prequel crap in the Star Wars fan universe, but now we have to fight over TFA and RO?
Here’s my simple way of looking at things:
There are these things called the prequels. They have done damage to the Star Wars world and in my humble opinion strongly divide the camp into those who enjoy versus those who are repulsed by the very idea of the prequel movies existing.
Then there is everything not prequels. To me that means OT, TFA, and RO. Those are my Star Wars world.
I was born before Star Wars came out in the theater. Perhaps that flavors my view of things. But in my humble opinion, TFA and RO are much, much, much closer to OT than the PT in terms of filmmaking quality and Star Wars feel.
I’m glad we can all have opinions, and hopefully we can continue to have a civilized discussion. I really enjoyed RO. I have seen it twice.
I thought it was okay first time around, second viewing I analysed it and it is indeed a chopped together bag of shite
I want to see Rogue One again.
I want to see Rogue One again.
It definitely deserves a second viewing on kodi don’t pay

what a scummy thing to say. Seriously… i am shaking my head.
From the bottom of every single page here:
We ❤️ Star Wars and give it all the moneys. Please don’t sue us.
So yeah, super scummy.

Fine. We’re both to blame, but unlike you, I’m going to be an adult about this going forward. I’ll just ignore every worthless thing you post. Have fun trolling.

If I were a quantity over quality guy, I wouldn’t care about quality. Yes I want more Star Wars, but I’m not going to watch it more than once if it sucks. I want both quantity and quality, not one over the other.
I’m not going to watch it more than once if it sucks.
TFA sucks and apparently you watched it more than once.

give it a rest, please. i am tired of seeing this all over the forum.
Yes I want more Star Wars, but I’m not going to watch it more than once if I think it sucks.
There I fixed it.
Craziness up in here!

You should have been on here last year because it was wayyyy worse. I couldn’t be happier with how reactions to Rogue One are. Even with the people who don’t like the film I see them giving well reasoned arguments that aren’t based on exaggerations and half truths.
