This is why nothing gets done in this country. It’s a zero-sum game. No compromise, no meeting in the middle, no concession, no “hrm, maybe I’m wrong about this one”. Just “I’m right and you’re not only wrong but also stupid and irredeemable.”
It’s a race to the bottom and we all lose.
I love how it’s “not compromising” when I don’t abandon my principles, but it’s just being committed when Dems refuse to give two inches on any of theirs. Why are only Conservatives expected to concede and liberals are not?
