That’s the whole point of the character.

Well considering he is the main villain, that is bad.

“I want a badass villain who’s a master of the force and lightsaber combat, but who is not like Vader in any regard, because that would be a rip off.”

Yeah. And despite his patheticness he is still very dangerous.

The better question is why does he wear a helmet ALL the time. It makes lots of sense when he goes into combat, but when he is just chillen on a starship he does not need it for anything.

well, that is obviously not a joke, so it must be a question.

The answer is no. humans are not dangerous to computers. force sensitive or not. Exhibit A: R2D2 and C3P0.

The answer is still “intimidation” and “because he looks like a kid.”

Or to put it in simpler terms he wears it to feel powerful.

@impscum

Kylo froze Poe’s blaster bolt in place and put him into stasis. Later in the film he calmly deflected Rey’s shots away, put her into stasis and knocked her out via The Force. Lastly he completely decimated Finn in lightsaber combat. Just because he couldn’t defeat Rey in a weakened state doesn’t mean he can’t harm people at all.

In fact (and I didn’t even realize it when I wrote it) he comes with mask topping and no mask topping.

Sometimes I wonder if people actually watch movies or if they just kinda stare blankly at the screen.

When the film is so bad as TFA, you cannot blame people for doing that.

If most of us can pay attention to the PT well enough to form well reasoned arguments someone like you can certainly watch TFA with some attentiveness. To at least get a moderate sense of what you’re talking about. Beyond that you could have just payed attention for the sake of not being lazy.

Do not worry, nothing escaped me. I was just stunned by the awfulness.

What if I ask…

…that this whole Kylo business is a parody of Star Wars fans?

Perceived/portrayed as “weaklings still living in their parents’ basement”, who need to dress up as a mighty Jedi/Sith to feel powerful?

I saw the original theatrical release of the Old Trilogy on the big screen and I'm proud of it...
How did I accomplish that (considering my age) is my secret...

That would be too deep for TFA.

I’d say you have a 65% of being right.

I could have sworn Pablo Hidalgo said something about this though I’m not sure if he confirmed or denied it. Kylo has shown traits of both extreme arrogance, entitlement and the inability to control his anger so in that way he is exactly like the generic butthurt Star Wars fanboy

Why Doesnt the Kylo Ren have Cheetos Fingers in The Fore Awakens?

Author
Time

He wears gloves to hide his orange fingers because he’s embarrassed about them, but like we butthurt fans wear coverings to hide our inner shame at loving a childish film series.
