I’ll try to explain as clearly and simply as I can: BobaJett was saying that he didn’t think that the soldiers could be wearing Rebel uniforms because if they were it would make Leia’s lie obvious. My whole point has only ever been that there are a number of reasons why that would be obvious, uniform or not. So basically, in regards to the question “are the gray and black vests” Rebel uniforms, my answer is that there’s no way to know for sure, because the outcome is the same either way.
