I think I am alone, but the Choking on your ambitions line is growing on me.
“Be careful not to choke on your *aspirations(not ‘ambitions’), Director” – hence, the breathing pun… Aspiration: (1) a hope or ambition of achieving something (2) the action or process of drawing breath.
Although I don’t feel like the line is a grand slam, I personally am not bothered by it.
Maybe faneditors can try something more subtle…
