Not odd to discuss it, ATM. Sorry if I sounded like I was making that argument. I thought the argument that was being made was that since Lucas didn’t know where the story was going in the first place, it’s OK to go back in and retcon anything else.
I was just pointing out the error in logic with regard to that line of thinking.
What I posted was not a “retcon” I just made up. That’s what was intended when the film was made.
