Real life?? Probably getting lost in an amusement park or falling out of a tree once. Not exactly scary but I had a few rough family deaths.
Movie?? I remember Claude Rains’ disfigured face in Phantom of the Opera scared me at age five and I was afraid the Phantom was gonna come out from beneath my bed when I went to bed that night.

Seeing Jaws in pre-pubic age, I could never sleep in bed without keeping my legs straight so I didn’t do a Quint demise so to speak. Thank you Mr.Spielberg and Robert Shaw for starting me on the path to madness.

Being 3 or 4 and seeing the Holocaust episodes of the World at War and realising it happened and that the Victims and the Perpetrators were the same species as my parents.
I was scared out of my mind when I watched the Thriller music video right before bed. I had so many nightmares that night.
