In my conversations with the prequel fans over the years, and maybe people who just prefer to watch all of the films regardless of their quality, they seem much more interested in Anakin’s story, not Luke’s.
Really ? But it doesn’t mean it changes the OT, it just adds another layer where you “care” more about Vader as a continuing protagonist than as the main vilain (not even that “main” in ANH, where you have the time to get to know Luke and cie). Does it mean that for mainstream audiences Lucas has succeeded in developing characters people are interested in ? On the other hand, TFA huge commercial success is mostly based on the promise to see Luke again, am I right ?
