Seriously though, you’re playing a game of semantics. Lucas tried to have Vader in the entire PT via Anakin…that was his whole reason for doing the PT. And Lucas fails miserably because Anakin/Vader fails miserably. The costume (and when he is or isn’t wearing it) is the least important part.

Even if I don’t hate the PT as you do I can’t really argue with that, but the fact remains that (imho) in R1 we still don’t see Vader… at the exception of the shot on the Star Destroyer deck when he arrives at the end (before the Jason Voorhees scene).
