LA LA LAND
It’s not my first choice in either film or music genres. I never feel an irresistible compulsion to see Hollywood’s latest love letter to it’s self. I went in with a bargain ticket and some extra time out of very passing curiosity…
I was kinda impressed by it. It was an odd mix of golden age and contemporary, drama and spectacle.
Color and costume and location… everything bringing past and present together. Performances, screenplay, direction… all making it true to it’s self.
