Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released) — Page 608

I too would really appreciate a torrent or a link to one PM’d to me for the 2.7 version. I’m planning on having a New Years Star Wars marathon with my children. We got them lightsabers and a stuffed R2D2 this year and they are crazy for them. I think it’s time to properly introduce them to Star Wars.

I’ve been a lover of fan edits and preservations for a few years now. Would someone be willing to invite me to myspleen? I’ve made a few requests here in the past but I’ve never gotten any response.

That doesn’t really help the kind of people asking for torrents. 😃

Is there any way I can get a MySpleen invite? After today’s news, I want to watch the Original Trilogy again, but I want to get the latest versions of each movie.

You mean the oldest versions of each movie 😉

Everything is great now with Star Wars and I’ve moved onto Empire Strikes Back.

I downloaded the AVCHD file but didn’t have any DVD-DLs, so until I get to the store and buy some, I tried downloading the .MKV file. Did that successfully, but what programs are now recommended to play .MKV files? I’m not familiar with them.

Also, will these import into popular editing suites like Premiere Pro or Final Cut? Thanks.

VLC will play them fine.

MKVs won’t import into premiere, but the x264 video track inside them will. Therefore, if you convert to another container (like mp4 or .ts), or demultiplex with something like TsMuxer and import the video stream itself, it will be fine.

This looks great.

I have for a long time wanted to see the films in a more original way.
After I watched James Rolfes video about the special edition , it made me want to see the original versions even more.
And I found out about this and it sounds perfect.

I have downloaded the movies (avchd) but I was looking forward to put them on blu-rays, but can’t find the “blu-ray” versions 😕

Any recommendations for download links with low spam/bundles?

VLC will play a AVCHD file, but first you need one very handy free App: "Daemon Tools Lite"
Use DT to create a Virtual Drive then “mount” the AVCHD.ISO. It will appear as a new
DVD or BD drive on your PC. On mine I could not simply play this virtual disc with VLC
I have to RT. click on the new drive choose “open” then play the “BDMV” folder inside.
I do have another player that will play as soon as it’s mounted, just as if I’d put a
retail DVD in a drive, but I like VLC a lot more! This works great with any other .ISO
you are not yet ready to burn!

I thought I recognized your foul stench when I entered this forum!

Thanks Faith, I’ll try that out. I loved Harmy’s 2.7 for Star Wars that I didn’t have to burn a physical copy, I can just store it on PC and stream to my TV. Of course, I will probably decide to burn physical at some point, but it was more convenient that way.

I originally downloaded Harmys projects as AVCHD files because of lousy speeds on my
end. I’ve since acquired the .MKV versions, but I still have the first 3 films loaded
on virtual drives along with the SSE 1.6.ISO, so I have 4 extra drives setup all the
time. Another great thing is once mounted this way you can access and re-format or
re-encoded to work with other Media devices, even brrrrr… “Apple” LOL!

Whenever I am looking for video related software, or recommendations for apps on the subject, I google “videohelp” along with it. So, “Tsmuxer GUI videohelp”. Their forum and download links are no-nonsense, and will point you to the ideal or most affordable/free option. I always find that searching for even simple conversion tools, of which a million free options exist, without including a reliable resource like videohelp will only give endless search results of terrible and overpriced tools (probably riddled with malware), fake reviews for them that are obviously advertisements, etc.

Alternatively, you can open the iso in most unzipping type programs (winrar, 7zip), navigate to the BDMV/Stream folder and just play the m2ts file. 2.7 might have been plain files (i.e., just a BDMV folder - I recall a bunch of people on Harmy’s facebook page having their minds blown wide open by the concept). So, in that case, simply navigating to the m2ts file again will work.

I use VCD from Redfox, formerly known as Slysoft, to mount my ISOs. It is cleaner, imo.

Edit: and also free.

You can mount ISO files natively within Windows 10 (not sure about Windows 7 or 8): right click on the ISO and simply select “Mount”.

The ISO then appears in the list of drives “attached” to the PC; VLC can open such an AVCHD drive as a Blu-ray disc.

(It is also possible to look inside the drive with Windows Explorer, and copy anything useful found inside.)

Most likely one of the parts is not completely downloaded, or is not downloaded at all. You should be getting an indication of which part caused the error?

All of the files will complete downloading but when the extraction process begins it will only reach 50% until it notifies me that there was an extraction error

Author

actually it says that part 1 has caused the extraction error

Hi there! I just learnt about the new versions but I am a newbie on how to get the propper files to enjoy the new trilogy versions at home. Can anyone help me? I need the correct nzb file for the DVD9 versions. (As I work on a Mac I can’t run any .exe files neither) Thank you and may the force be with us!

Been a huge fan since I saw Episode IV in 1977 at the cinema in Barcelona, Spain!!

I’m hoping some of you guys might be able to help me out. I’m trying to download Harmy’s Despecialized Editions but it appears as if tehParadox has been shut down! Does anybody have any idea how to get around this, or another possible site to download from?? Also, i’m not completely sure what version the Despecialized Editions are up to now, so any of you guys who know more about it than me (which is probably all of you!!) a bit of info on that would also be greatly appreciated!
