Hi, I’m new to all this. Um, is there anywhere I can get these editions already put on Blu-ray, on an actual physical copy? I will actually pay for the labor into the making of the physical copies of the Original Trilogy.

The answer is No. As you can imagine, what you are describing would quickly turn into a highly illegal activity.

It is my goal to make a custom case for all of these discs. I have seen a few custom projects and am inspired. Is there a place where people share artwork source files like high-res logos and fonts? I have a library of source imagery myself, and would like to contribute.
I plan to do a ten disc set (I can’t do 50GB discs), with perhaps three 3-disc cases and one 1-disc case, or just ten 1-disc cases. Haven’t decided on that yet.

Btw, the MEGA links remain online for now as there have been a fairly constant chain of requests for them. Has anyone else been having ‘bandwidth exceeded’ errors trying to download them though?

Agreed. A kind soul made me an earlier version of the set, but when the new improved set came out, I bought a burner and some discs and made them myself.

Njvc, I’m still browsing the threads in order to learn as much as possible and trying to lend a hand as much as I can. In regards to the MEGA links, I began downloading the files on Mac using a download manager and I indeed receive a bandwidth exceeded message. I read somewhere that mega is capping there downloads in order to promote their paid service (not sure how valid that is). I then discovered megadownloader for PC which somehow bypasses this cap but I’m now running into errors when decompressing the packages. Not sure if megadownloader is the cause of this errors or it’s something else. Just to briefly answer your question lol.

So having only discovered this forum and the existence of the Despecialized editions recently i was wondering how i get access to download these amazing blu-rays. I cant stand watching my original blu-rays with the fubar versions of the movies so i always go back to watching my 2006 dvd versions. These look truly awesome and this is definitely worth it to me to go out and buy a Blu-ray burner. If someone could point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it.

You’ve got a really nasty attitude for a brand new member. Nobody here owes you anything, and no one wants to mail you blu-rays even if you’re too busy to burn them yourself. Please either figure things out for yourself, be patient, or go away.
There are so many example of new members being thoughtful, grateful, creative, patient, or understanding. And (especially recently) an insane amount of examples of current or older members being nice (nicer than required by a long shot) and hooking people up with invites and such. Hell, a myspleen invite thread was just reopened despite that being pretty much declared a horrible idea by myspleen itself. There’s no shortage of kindness going on on OT, certainly. And that’s not even to mention the people who actually matter here, the ones that actually make these things.
Throwing a hissy fit because no one wants to burn and mail you physical copies is well outside the realm of any of the aforementioned kindness.

I highly recommend using the pioneer BDXL burner with Verbatim discs. Worked like a charm compared to some trashy discs that I tried earlier.

Speaking for myself here, but making the discs and crafting the box set, etc was half of the fun of the whole thing. The other 75% of course was being able to watch the unadulterated versions of the greatest movie trilogy ever made. If I only wanted to buy some copies, I could have just stuck with the store bought stuff and called it a day. This entire site is a labor of love and to treat the projects and people here flippantly or in a rude manner is going to create the exact opposite reaction you desire: no one will want to help you.
My free and unsolicited advice is to download the links, watch and enjoy them. Burn them to discs later when you have the time and equipment.

Of course I’m throwing a “hissy fit” because I want my kids to see Star Wars in it’s proper form…And I’m getting deployed soon. I’m in the Navy and I have to be in a submarine between 6 to 8 months at a time. I never hardly get to see my kids and wife. My god, I already have three people messaging me about making me some…and NO, they are not being sarcastic about it. Lol. Please don’t think you’re the “one” that’s gonna teach me a “lesson” by being the morality police. I’ve run into way worse people than folks like you that have no life. Also, I just found out a buddy of mine has an account on here and has been making them for years. Ok, then.

Dear everyone, I apologize for my rude behavior. I’ve been stressed out. I’m sorry that I offended/hurt anyone on here. I’ll keep my emotions in check. I have obtained the New Hope despecialized Star Wars edition through Harmy and other folks have kindly offered to make the 5th and 6th. My wife is going to work on it after my deployment tomorrow.
