In any event, I’m saddened to hear this news. I’ve always been an admirer of her Singin’ in the Rain and in her other films. Her role in film preservation also struck a chord for me. She and her daughter are missed.
IIRC, wasn’t Debbie the one who tried to convince the new owners to save the old MGM backlot from being torn down?
