I am certain that at some point in the near future there will be scans of the PT from actual film done. This is always a waiting game due to it being done by fans, for fans, with the support of fans.
The problem is that it’s The Phantom Menace we’re talking about here. I’m afraid that the people who have the skills and machinery to do that just don’t care enough and don’t want to go through the long process just to preserve a movie that possibly scarred them for life.
