Thanks to everyone here who chipped in on these forums for your encouragement and assistance in getting these blurays finished. It was a pleasure working on them and sharing them with you all. Hopefully those that downloaded them have enjoyed what they’ve seen.
I’ve decided to retire from fan-editing to work on other things, so if anyone would like to adapt these blurays for future releases of the Despecialized editions, please feel free to do so with my blessing. But the simplest method would be to swap out the new video (when Harmy releases it) with the outdated version using multiAVCHD.

But i think once that is released, there will be those who will attempt to update the disk by remuxing in the new streams. the only real issue i foresee is that possibly we will exceed the original disk size.

I foresee a possible 50GB BD disc for each DE 3.0 film with all the audio tracks and commentaries (1 disc per film), paired with a complementary 50GB BD disc for all the special features for each film (1 disc per film), resulting in 6 discs. At least, theoretically. I haven’t done all the math involving current items and size yet, but this is a start.

yes, once 3.0 is released (far off), someone would need to start a new set from scratch, as the filesize of the 1080p release will throw everything off. I agree with the first disk just the main feature approach at that point.

I’m also hoping that FSWTJ “HD” reconstruction gets replaced with althor’s upcoming LD upscale because the one on the disc has always bothered me for some reason. It’s a good proof of concept, but only that.

I have a question for you guys about the artwork. I really love the artwork pack, but I was wondering if there is a modified version available that would suit my needs. I’m giving a copy of each of the three 25GB Film only versions to my brother for Christmas, but the added special features disk would be a waste on him, as I know he wont watch them. I just noticed that the artwork has the Special Features listed on the back cover, and since I am not including those features in this set, I was wondering if there is a version that doesn’t list them.
I know it’s an odd request, so don’t worry about it if it’s a hassel to find. I’ll figure something out, but I do love the artwork you guys have presented, so it would be ideal.

I think Myspleen is down at the moment. I tried typing the website in and it says that their servers are busy. Also, waiting on that code folks! 😄

I think an image editor is your best bet. paint over the text you don’t like. put your own face over it. do something easy.

That’s what I ended up doing, thanks! I had just wondered if someone had done something spiffy already. I just don’t have access to 50gb disks before Christmas, and the cases I have only hold one disk a piece, so I wanted the cases to match what was in them. It all worked out though!

Thanks for the heads up! I’m currently downloading that right now. I read through the thread and saw that although those ISO files have the special features, they only work on a Bluray-ROM and everything is on a single disc. Is the other set of downloads that had four discs per film no longer available?

This is a thread for the blu-rays, which don’t seem to be as widely available. Instructions for finding Harmy’s versions, which are on said blu-rays, can be found in his threads or his Facebook page. Perhaps a better bet if you’re in a time squeeze.
Off topic, but the first film is all you really need to show her before R1. 😃
