Nope. They could have done some interesting stuff with the Krennic character but groveling to Vader isn’t accomplishing much. I’d be much more interested to see the deleted scene where he speaks to Vader of the immeasurable power of the station.
You make a good point and I wonder what the alternative was?
Was it simply Krennic Showing up to boast about the Death Star obviously Gareth Edwards referred to James Earl Jones saying “power” and it being one of his favorite moments…
Time will tell hopefully we get to know how the film was altered, and fill in the gaps.
I wonder if that Vader scene was an Insert and perhaps he actually just got pulled out the Tank when Tarkin summoned him?
I hope we get the full story or the various scripts it would be very interesting.
