Tell you what - I might be able to find that set at a bargain price; if I do, I'll see if I can get some scans and transfers in. How's that sound?

It shall be done! I'll see if I can get the tapes transferred, and scan the prints at around 1000dpi or something. I might need some hardware to capture the video though, and something for moire reduction... but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Again, I'll cross that bridge when I reach it. There might be a few polishes here and there, probably will upscale it a bit. Of course, before I worry about any of it, I'll have to get some equipment to transfer the video... any recommendations?

Right, well, I've taken delivery of the set, and I've scanned in all the printed materials at 1000dpi, including a few pages from the scriptbook. However... the descreening method has left a pattern not unlike a corduroy fabric. I'm probably going to have to send it off to someone, so if they can correct it. Anybody willing to help?

How’s the job, sorry for bumping an old thread but really interested in this.

And I’ve loved every pixel of it.

There may be some typos in your Executor DVD covers, particularly in The Empire Strikes Back where it says “Theatuical” with a U.
A typo which isn’t even in the “Programme of Contents” booklet in the Executor set.

Also, can you do an alternate version of said cover but for a regular size case? I usually hate slim cases.

We can talk about more of this on your DVD/BD cover discussion.

I will mail my set to anyone who will take this seriously.

Also, my VHS’s have not been played

EVER

Do you think you could scan the artwork that comes with that set at 300 or even 600dpi?

I captured my set on my Panasonic SVHS deck last year, and I have a feeling that all of the ‘special features’ have blended frames from the conversion to PAL from NTSC (with the original duration being preserved), so its not just a PAL speed-up as is the case with the films on these tapes. I’ll have to check to be certain, but I’m pretty sure that’s how it is.

If it’s a a good pre-DEFT standards conversion then it’s straightforward to remove the blended frames in avisynth.
