Zkinandbonez is there any chance you could roughly tell us what scenes are not in the film from the trailers?
I have heard that the Tie Fighter on the Gantry is Gone all the running with the plan’s are gone. But nobody has really talked about how much is gone?
I am just curious how much from the trailers was either from prior to reshoot / Deleted Scenes or simply Marketing…
I go on Friday to see it. I don’t want to know so much what is in it but what we have seen that is not…
I just re-watched the sizzle reel and was surprised that the shot of Jyn and Cassian running on the beech with the plans were not in the film. Neither were the TIE rising up to view on the gantry.
The sizzle reel also has Jyn talking to a bald Saw, which is not in the film. I’m guessing this has to do with the re-shoots. Saw is only seen bald in the flashback opening scene. In all other scenes he has hair. Also, like I mentioned in my post, a lot of Saw’s lines from the trailers were completely gone.
Moroff was also never seen on Scarif, as the BTS footage and toys suggested. Bistan likewise only appeared very briefly. Pao got some decent screen-time, but he was hardly an important character.
The sizzle reel shot of Tudyk running with the Rebel soldiers on Scarif is also inconsistent with the final film. K-2SO is on Scarif, but he never runs on the beech while under fire.
There’s also a lot of smaller moments that’s missing; Jyn giving the fruit to the child on Jedha, rebels soldiers captured by Imperials, etc. It seem that they shot a lot of stuff on the Jedha City set, but chose to cut much of it out.
There might have been more, but this is all I can remember right now.
