From what I’ve seen, the cloud city interiors in that scene are pretty warm. I think also, the TN1 print must have been very badly faded, otherwise they would have been able to use set photos, or just grade to natural skin tone and get something similar-ish to Poita’s scans. The snow and explosions in the Hoth battle could have been graded naturally as well. As is, they’re very purple, and the snow is almost entirely white and grey.
I was blown away by the grindhouse when I first saw it, but looking at it in the light of Poita’s scans and a few other references, it seems Empire was for the most part, a very naturally-timed film
