I've seen all of the prequels the first time at a dinky old theater that sells the midnight tickets starting at 4:00 PM the day of the show. They don't do advance tickets. The best part is: the theater doesn't advertise the shows (you have to ask) and they always hand-write the title of the SW film on the ticket of another movie, so they're probably keeping the proceeds for themselves. They did the same for the LoTR movies.

None of the midnight Star Wars shows have sold out in the past, though some guy brought a lawnchair to the theater last time and "camped out" ... at 11:45 PM, just so it could be said that *someone* in the town camped out for Star Wars.

So anyway, that's my plan for seeing Revenge of the Sith next month ... I'll buy my tickets at 4:00 PM that day and I'll show up at the theater 15 minutes ahead of time. No fuss, no muss, no advance tickets required.

I think I can do the same thing at a local theater where I live. Just for old times sake, I'd like to camp this one out. I got advanced tickets to AOTC for a date with this one girl. Funny thing is, that's the last date that I've been on... I'm starting to make more friends again so we'll see.

I'll buy them this weekend. I gotta call the movie theater to see if it's available though... I'll be buying tickets for like, 20 people... I hope they pay me back later

Ah, the feel of the hype. My birthday is right around the release, so I'm going to go watch it at the IMAX in Digital. The whole standing in line phenomina reminds me of this Triumph the Insult Comic Dog sketch on Conan:

RIGHT CLICK, SAVE AS...

So hilarious.

My work schedule makes it difficult to do ANYTHING.

Tomorrow I plan to find a theater having a 12:01 playing, and get tickets to it.

Mannequin, yes, that is a spectacular bit. I couldn't stop laughing. Everyone around me wanted some of my "happy pills" after that episode.

I wish to retract my previous statement.
I just bought my ticket via fandango.com while sitting here at work. I just need to take my credit card to the theater to get the actual ticket for 12:01AM.

2 out of 3 movies at 12:01AM, not bad.

Got my 12:01am Ticket today! Only $7.50
All the Tv Promos are IMO making me want to see it even more.

Who is going in Costume? I think I will.

Yeah, that sketch with Triumph was great. The wizard, the banging of the plastic toys, and of course the classic, "Which one of these buttons calls your parents to come pick you up."

And yes, I bought my 12:01 showing today. A whole group of my friends are going together, and dressing up, I might add.

I just got my 12:01 ticket today. Unfortunately I couldn't get a 12:01 ticket at the theater I wanted (one with a digital projector). Stupid Fandango didn't open up that theater's tickets until they had already sold out by phone.

So I suppose everyone here will be yawning, all drowsy and sleepy the following morning at work...

When I watched TPM I was in my senior year in highschool, next morning I was all drowsy and sleepy... On AOTC, I didn't go to work until the afternoon...

The cinema's always empty on the first day of any film. We had advance tickets for both the last 2 films, and found that there was us (5) a handfull of geeks, and an old couple!
We had the best seats in the house!!

Yay!

But ther is a midnight showing on the 18th that I might go to....

And of corse there's the big fuck off day in Lobdon Leicester Square on the 16th, where they will be showing all 6 films in a row.
It costs £50 and the whole place will be filled with SW caharacters, and celebs, Lucas and Hayden may well be there aswel...Dunno man, may go to that too!!!

Yeah, I'd got to that except I don't want to sit through Episodes 1 and 2.

I'm going to be heading over to the theater today to see if Midnight tickets are still available. I'll be going with a friend and my brother in law. My wife says she will be at home, in bed, comfortably asleep.

I now officially have my tickets. My wife actually went to the theater today on her way to work and picked them up. She won't give me my ticket until I finish the work on our master bathroom. Guess I'd better get painting, eh?

I got mine (and other 9 friends) tickets thursday during lunch time, drived all the way to the place and got them. I'll be all drowsy and miserable at work next morning... I think I'll call sick or something, or show up late and stay a few hours longer...

I borrowed this cool digital camera from my dad for this week, I'll take some pics of that day, I'll put them on a website and show them to you the following day...
