Have you actually seen movies on a PSP?

The resolution greatly outweighs its smaller screen.

If I'm home, with a PSP, I'd rather watch a movie on my TV than on my handheld. Unless the power was off or something...

And I can't think of a situation where I'd watch a movie outside my own home, with a PSP. At an airplane? Nah, they ask us not to turn electronic devices and such. At work? Nope can't do it. The only place I can think of is during a bus trip...

Maybe if you got dragged to a cinema to see a movie you weren't looking for to, you could watch a better movie (using the headphones) on you PSP.

I've seen sample shots. Its resolution is great, but it's still tiny. I can't do it. Too small. That and having to invest in a whole new media... I just want games. Don't need it for music... got my iPod.

Besides, there's this "unofficial" Nintendo DS USB connector that can turn it into a mp3 player, show photos, turn it into a palmtop!

Yes, except the video game controllers. Usually those unnofficial controllers are horrible.

None of the people I play with will use the Third Party controllers we buy to save money, so I always get stuck with them.

I don't usually post videos or other URLs unless it's worth it, and if you're between 17 and 30 years old and was raised during the NES and SNES generation, you GOTTA see this... I'm not even saying what it is, you gotta see it for yourselves...

Anyone ever look into those Speed Demos things? When someone races through a video game and then posts their time or even video of it online? If I had broadband I'd be all over that, but sometimes they sneak onto videos from EGM.

Speaking of speed, has anybody seen the video of the guy finishing SMB Three in 11 mintues? It was revealed to be faked, but man it is awesome to watch.

Funny you mentioned it. Yesterday I couldn't sleep, so I tried to perform it, using an emulator, slowing down the game and using save points. I was able to get to world 8 pretty much the same way he did, only not as fast... But at world 8 things got complicated... It's easy to end the game like that, but it's hard to get the 99 lifes as he did, jumping on canon balls... After a while I got frustrated and gave up.

Yeah. Like I said in another thread, even with the emulator slowing the game speed, he had over 40000 recordings of time's he'd done it right before screwing up.

I don't think it took 40000 attempts, that would take several years.

It's not really that hard, all you need is to do is to make sure you know the stages beforehand, you have an emulator in which you can slow down the game, and do some savepoints. If you make a mistake, all you have to do is go back to the last savepoint, and try again.
