Krampus 2015
Director Michael Dougherty’s previous film, 2007’s Trick r Treat, is one of my absolute favorite films, so I’ve been looking forward to checking this one out. I was unable to catch it in theaters last year and have been saving it for the holiday season. Tonight was finally the night!
Well, I hated it. All of it. Some good bits of creepy atmosphere, but the characters reactions to everything that happens are either nonsensical or just stupid. Nobody reacts to anything in a way a real person would. The point the film tries to make is undone constantly and the film can’t follow it’s own logic.
When I sat down to watch this, I had no doubt that I would at least enjoy it. I’m beyond disappointed.
