Congrats! It’s a good feeling, no?

You got a job lined up yet?

(If so, I hate you)

It’s weird but it doesn’t feel like anything right now. I’m sure it’ll sink in at some point. I think part of it is that this past semester was pretty easy with no really tough assignments that weighed on me.

You’ll be happy to hear that no I don’t, though there are some prospects.

Congrats! What was your field of study?

Thanks. Film and TV. Not really a typical “study,” and probably a college experience very different from most. For me, my classes were almost secondary to the projects and internships I was doing simultaneously, so in many ways I guess I feel like finishing them is just one less thing for me to do. But still it’s very much the end of an era for me, after having been in school for basically all my life!

All done with school forever (probably).

My jealousy cannot be quantified. Congrats!

Thanks, you’ll be there sooner than you realize.

Nice man! My last semester was probably the worst I’d ever had. Film and TV is a cool field. Let me know if you can get me a job once you’re in hahaha.

I still hate you.

Got my projector and surround sound set up. It looks and sounds fantastic. The screen is about 125 inches. I ordered a 150 inch but I underestimated how big that actually was and it was bigger than my wall. Even the 125 inches is massive. Looks crisp and clear too. Can’t wait to watch star wars on it. In the process of cobbling together my own personal semispecialized version to watch. (Using the sources of telecine7s epiv (which is the blu ray with rerotoscoped savers and blaster shots) and just splicing in color matched and upscaled footage of the latest specialized to match the surrounding footage to fix ask the mos eisley bs on the blu ray.)

I would just watch the despecialized version but I think on a screen this suss the difference between 720 and 1080p will be noticeable.

It is awesome and I got everything for about 500 bucks which was a steal. Normally projectors that do full 1080p are upwards of 500 by themselves but I found a generic Chinese knockoff for about 350 and while it does seem to have some quirks about it they are small and highly worth dealing with for how sweet it is and how much I saved. The quirks are all software bugs that don’t affect picture quality in the slightest.

I found a wife that way too but she cost 450.

Heh, if you’re making the joke that I won’t be able to attract a woman with this setup it’s actually very classy looking. All the wires are hidden in the walls and I control it all easily with a remote.

If you weren’t making that joke and were just being generally snarky, then… well… what kind of warranty did she come with?
