Just put up an alternate DVD-5 version that uses the ANH Crawl release. There is no padding at the edges, so if your TV has a Just Scan or 1:1 mode, that’s your best display option.
(This is my first DVD conversion so any suggestions would be appreciated)

Can you also please do a “no padding” version of this but with the 1977 Star Wars crawl?
Would be really great. Love your The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi DVD-5 discs but the only one I didn’t download was Star Wars because it had the A New Hope crawl.
Sorry, I prefer the Star Wars crawl over A New Hope.

2.6 is now outdated; 2.7 is the current release of SW Despecialized. It is available on the Spleen.

Use ‘MegaDownloader’. Unlike Jdownloader2, etc, it has no limit.

In a related note, It’s fun watching these with my daughter -she’s not even 5 but loves the films. I made sure that only the original theatrical versions were the ones we watch in our household. I’m strict on that. We must have standards, dang it.
You don’t need to be on the spleen for this. v2.7 can be tracked down by following the instructions in the “ultimate guide” - see post 1 of the thread for v2.5.

May sound stupid but… How do I download this???
Watching 2.7 now. Really appreciate the entire community for this. So far I am finding all of the colors to be much better. The grey of the Death Star is a standout improvement.
Incidentally, I also converted this to m4v using Handbrake with RF of 18 and it turned out really nice for watching on my AppleTV. Thanks again everyone.
