J. Cole - False Prophets
Holy shit dude
Not impressed with the instrumental, but Cole’s delivery and lyrics are great as always.
It doesn’t match the menace he brings in the form of his lyrics but in general it’s a dope beat. I wonder how Ye and Drake is going to this. Did you hear “Everybody Gotta Die” as well?
I have. I like it a lot more than False Prophets, not that I dislike False Prophets. I’m definitely gonna get his album when it comes out. My only problem with the song is his rhyming of the word “hipster” with “pitchfork”. I’m not a writer, but I’m sure there was another way he could convey that point and have it rhyme;
“Chosen by the white man, bought-and-paid-for rappers”
or really anything else.
