I will be disappointed if Qui-Gon makes an appearance in this movie.
I don’t believe for a second that any potential appearance he’d make would ruin the film. But once, just for once, I want to watch a post-OT SW film and say to myself “It’s canon”. I want to see Rogue One and consider it “real” – as real to me as SW & TESB are real to me. Tossing Qui-Gon/Padme/any similar PT character in the mix will make that impossible.
Yes.
It depends how brief it would be. … It would broaden the Universe and make that association of the larger narrative.
Nah.
The main point being where “Force Ghosts” originated from really. This strange mystical power that Qui-gon who was more or less operating as a bit of a maverick Jedi was perhaps one of the most progressive forward thinking Jedi.
I’m not even slightly interested in “Where Force Ghosts Come From”. The OT told me all I need (or even want) to know about that. When Jedis die they can reappear as visions to the people they knew. Why is that a concept that needs further analysis?
