IMO it works the first time anyway. Most people think with their heads, not their mouths.

And beyond that, the different locations for the censor bar is part of the joke. Early on there’s a shot where R-20,000 swears but he’s off camera, so I put a censor bar over one of Obi-Wan’s cockpit displays instead. It doesn’t make sense from a logic standpoint but that’s part of the joke.

Heck, I think I’ve used the censor bar on R2 himself and he doesn’t even have a mouth. Technically I should put it over his speaker…?
