I've decided to buy Nintendo DS this weekend. Yay.

Can you buy an extra one for me while you're at it? I mean, you're gonna be at the store and all... why not?

I've got tons of thank yous waiting in the wings.

Must play games for the DS:

Mario 64. Great display of power of the system, and it's a classic iself.
Feel The Magic Xy/XX Great case for and against stylus gameplay
Wario Ware Touched. The same as feel the magic only made by Nintendo and without the Bikini babe.

Really? I guess I should give it more of a chance, but I just can't see anything. I just get tired of getting hit by guys I can't see. Does it get better?

Has anybody tried Jade Empire?

Well uh it's not something to congratulate me for... besides, I'll have to wait another week, I'll be quite busy tomorrow

Sure Bossk I'll buy you one. Just send in the money, plus shipment and taxes, and I'll get you one

Chaltab: yes I'll play all of those, but for the moment I'll buy Nintendo DS with either Mario or Wario (the minigames one), whichever looks more fun. Maybe Mario.

Something I just realized: the DS is a handheld videogame, therefore it can be played in public places. Some games for the DS require voice commands. Now, I don't think I can yell "JUMP! JUMP! FIRE! FIRE!" at my videogame at a public place... Kinda embarassing...

I'm probably going to get it... whenever I get a job.

As for what Ric was saying: In Feel the Magic, some of the MiniGames require you to blow and shout at the screen. Funny stuff. You should go do it at a relative's house and see if they come running in to check on you.

My brother just sold his DS to get a PSP...I keep on telling him he will regret that come E3. And he hates WareWare Touched, the bastard!!
Which is the more foolish, the fool (the OT) or the fool who follows (the PT)?

Dammit! My stereo speakers went bad on my PSP!

Good thing we gave in to EB games and bought the warranty.

OK so now I'm really going to buy a Nintendo DS instead of a PSP.

But other than that, its a great system.

Make sure you buy a warranty

I'm holding off until the price goes down. But my brohter is graduating the Eight Grade, and because they go on a trip, he gets $300 free dollars!

And he has been debating whether or not to get a PSP. So I might play the system earlier than I expected. (Darn WalMart and EB for not having a playable PSP display!)

It was funny to flip open the Best Buy sale ad yesterday and see some of the PSP disc movies listed on sale.

MM-hmm..

I also saw an add for House of Flying Daggers last night, and it said at the end, "Now available on DVD and PSP UMD." This looks bad for the DS, methinks.

Maybe I'm just worrying too much. I just hope that the PSP and GB next don't eradiate 2D gaming. At this rate only Capcom and SNK Playmore will be making 2D games by the end of the decade.

Yeah, but I've been seeing the Nintendo DS flying off shelves almost as quickly as they get them in stock. Happened at Target on Saturday. I think what will also save the DS is Nintendo's rep for portable gaming as well as its price.

I'm not buying a handheld to watch movies, so...

My thoughts as well. I pay attention to detail in movies and you cannot see them on such a small screen.
